JobSite Weather is built for the trades. We take your privacy seriously and keep things simple — we collect as little as possible and never sell your data.

What we collect

• Location data — Your GPS coordinates or ZIP code are used solely to fetch local weather conditions. Location data is sent directly to Open-Meteo and the National Weather Service — it is never stored on our servers.
• First name and preferences — Your first name, trade selection, and app preferences are stored locally on your device only. They never leave your phone.
• Payment information — Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, billing address, or full payment details. We only receive confirmation that a payment was made.
• Ask the Foreman questions — Questions you ask the Foreman are sent to our secure server to generate a response using AI. Questions are not stored or logged after the response is delivered.

What we do not collect

• We do not create user accounts or store passwords
• We do not track your location over time
• We do not use advertising networks or tracking pixels
• We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes
• We do not collect analytics or usage data beyond what is necessary to deliver the service

Third-party services

JobSite Weather uses the following third-party services to deliver its features:

• Open-Meteo — Weather data (open-meteo.com) — no account or API key required
• National Weather Service (NOAA) — Severe weather alerts — US government public API
• Tomorrow.io — Extended forecast data (tomorrow.io) — see their privacy policy
• Stripe — Payment processing (stripe.com) — see their privacy policy
• Anthropic — AI responses for Ask the Foreman (anthropic.com) — see their privacy policy

Data storage

All personal preferences (name, trade, saved locations, job site notes) are stored locally on your device using browser localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to StrickerCo Solutions.

Children's privacy

JobSite Weather is intended for use by adults in professional trades and service industries. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted at this URL. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
